Boston City Walk: Experience Boston on foot
June 8 , 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Weather permitting, we will walk section 4 of the Boston Walking City Trail on Friday, June 8th. The trip is approximately 3 hours of leisurely walking.
We will meet at the entrance to Franklin Park near 269 Forest Hill St, Jamaica Plains and wander through Franklin Park, the largest green space in Boston. The park is part of Boston's so-called Emerald Necklace park system, which was designed by the famous landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. We then cross through Southwest Corridor Park and continue to Jamaica Pond, another Olmsted masterpiece.
After the walk, we will have lunch together. There are many good places to eat in the area.
There are good opportunities to use public transport. Use the MBTA App.
